Judges Critique – Sutton Coldfield & District Canine Association Open Show Saturday 23rd February 2019.

BOLOGNESE.   I would like to thank the Committee for inviting me to judge the breed particularly this being the first year that Bolognese classes have been offered

BEST OF BREED:  Thatcher’s’ Gonni Torre Delle Passere with Devonia (IMP IT)

RESERVE BEST OF BREED:  Tower’s Enjanicka Midnight Blue ShCM

BEST PUPPY: Whateley’s Belstown Beloved Aimee at Arkadian

Class 205 Puppy (1) 1 Whateley’s Belstown Beloved Aimee at Arkadian. Just 6 months old and very much a baby.  This was her first show. She had a good depth of coat for her age and correct tail set, very feminine with dark eye and excellent pigment complete with correct tail set. BP

Class 207 PGD/B (3) 1  Tower’s Enjanicka Mio Caro.  15 months old today.  A lovely feminine bitch that is super square and compact in body. Well presented with clean eyes and white coat.  Her tail a little tight but moved beautifully.  Very sound and shows well. 2 Whateley’s Arkadian Marcus Maximus. A 3 year old male heavier type.  Well muscled and had a nice head.  Walked well when settled, good pigment and correct dentition. 3 Whateley’s Arkadian Beloved Diana. This is litter sister to (2) a smaller type bitch, square and compact with good pigmentation but would prefer more depth of coat.

Class 206 JD/B (2) 1  Thatcher’s Gonni Torre Delle Passere with Devonia.(Imp IT) This 16 month old bitch oozes star quality.  Well muscled sturdy and square, with an amazing beautiful profuse flocked coat. Good head with dark eye and excellent pigment.  Correct tail set and when she was in the ‘stand’ position what a pose, her outline was breathtaking. A very worthy BOB. 2. Hopkin’s  Enjanicka Toscana Ti Adoro. A 15 month old smaller bitch and lighter in bone than 1 square in outline with correct eye shape and colour giving a super soft expression.  Coat not yet finished. Not as positive on the move as (1) just needs a little more ring practice

Class 208 Open (2) 1 Tower’s Enjanicka Midnight Blue ShCM. A lovely male of just over 2 year plus.  Well presented, compact, good spring of rib with a nice head and eye.  A thoroughly well balanced dog with good carriage, adequate coat and was the best mover on the day.  RBB. 2. Hough’s Donocielo Alessandro at Strophair a square dog soundly constructed with wonderful head and dark mischievous eyes. Well presented with a generous white flocked coat. What a happy dog he is. He moves well when settled.
