British Bolognese Club show March 2016

BOB Tumbril Tantrums and Tiaras

British Bolognese Club Open Show was held on Saturday 26 March 2016. Our judge was Mrs V Foss. We had a very good entry and the show was a great success. The Club was celebrating an anniversary so all exhibitors enjoyed wine and cake provided by the committee. We also held a raffle in aid of the Club.

JUDGE’S CRITIQUE

BRITISH BOLOGNESE CLUB OPEN SHOW

The British Bolognese Club Open Show was held in conjunction with UK Toy who allowed them the use of the Argyle Suite.  A lovely ring and how the breed has improved since I previously judged them.  Well trained and showing themselves off, moving steadily and smartly.  Just keep an eye on untidy mouths and remember they are shown in their natural state.  A lovely entry of 38 dogs of whom 31 were present on the day.  Thank you very much for this invitation.

Puppy Dog (5)

1             Thatcher’s Greg Denajwen with Devonia (imp Cze). Well balanced with good breed outline.  Correct pigmentation and coat texture.  Moved sound and free.

2          Mulligan’s Donocielo Ceasario.  Correct square outline.  Moved well.

3          McArdell’s Gerry Maty Ve Maria at Phendelle (imp cz)

Junior Dog (4)

  1. Thatcher Devonia’s Montecristo. Square outline. Well balanced. Head of correct proportions and correct eye colour.
  2. McArdell Hunky Dory Al-B Phendelle IMP SWE.       In good coat. Moved correctly.

Post Graduate Dog (3)

  1. Tower Tumbril Time Lord. Correct outline. Well shaped head. Elbows close to body with well sprung rib cage. Moved freely
  2.  Hough Donocielo Alessandro at Strophair.       Good outline. Well boned. Muscular hindquarters.
  3.  Haig Amelia’s Marcus Aurelias

Limit Dog (2)

  1. Epstein Bellablakes Bugatis Bow. Square compact outline with well shaped head.       Good front with correct depth of brisket. Well sprung ribs. Hocks well let down. Sound free mover. In good coat. Best Dog.
  2. Holliday Starexpress Heaven Scent. Well balanced dog. Not quite as positive in movement as the winner today.

  1. Hewitson Int Ch.Predantino Benji of Moorhey.       Correct breed outline with good head and eye. Good coat. Moved well. Reserve Best Dog.
  2. Blakeway Bellablakes Marczipan Star. Well balanced dog with smart, brisk movement.
  3. Walker Aemilia’s Prince Eduardo

Veteran Dog (1)

  1. Hough Strophair Joesepie. 8 years old. True type. In good condition.

Puppy Bitch (4)

  1. Mulligan Donocielo Cassia. Just right for age. Good outline. Correct head and expression. True front with correct ribbing. Good stifles. Sound free mover. BPIS
  2. Lovie Lagspring Baby. Not quite the finish of winner. Moved soundly

Junior Bitch (2)

  1. Blakeway Bellablakes Sapphire Star. Well shaped head and correct pigmentation. Good forequarters and ribcage. Well made hindquarters. In good coat. Moved well.

Post Graduate Bitch (4)

  1. Mulligan Donocielo Seraphina. Good outline with correct bone. Well sprung ribcage and level topline. Well muscled hindquarters. Correct coat.
  2. Hewitson Moorhey Dolly Daisy. All the essentials. Just needs a little more finish.
  3. Towers Tumbril Tennessee Honey

  1. Thomas Belstown Grace’s Carol. Typical outline with good head, eye and expression. Correct shoulder and ribcage. Well made hindquarters. Sound free mover. RBB
